How we started.

We started out on Rover in Atlanta, back in 2016. My husband and I loved dogs and we only 1. She was an amazing black lab named Blackie and she got along with all people and animals and loved going on adventures. In 2019 we moved to California and continued to grow and develop our love and education on how to care and train for all types of dogs. In the Bay Area, we decided to make hanging out with dogs our passion. We created "Little Paw, Big Heart".

Little Paw Big Heart is a family-run business, with myself (Kirsti), my husband (Colton), and my brother (Kirk). We welcome all dogs into our home and make it a point to treat them with love and ensure they get lots of exercise. We have gone through thorough training to make safety our top priority while making sure all dogs feel welcome and cared for.

Our goal is for you to be able to drop your dog off with us and have a stress-free vacation, knowing your babies are in the best hands! When your beloved family member is with us, we can guarantee they will get exercise, love, attention, and lots of (parent-approved) treats.

As we have moved, so has our family. Unfortunately, Blackie has passed, but we have added 2 new members to our family. Miya and Layla are the sweetest, loving, and most welcoming dogs. While they may have a lazy side, they are always down for cuddling on the couch.

Currently, we are a family of 4, however, in the future, we would love to start a dog rescue because we believe every dog should be surrounded by love. Their lives are shorter than ours because they are born already knowing how to love others more than themselves.
